Beloved father of Marsha Maxwell Hall (Denny), Jack Francis Maxwell, Jr., Mark Calkins Maxwell and the late Glenn Paul Maxwell. Son of the late Wilson Rose Maxwell and Eleanor Bailey Maxwell. Grandfather of Kim Elizabeth Hall Blackledge, Amy Hall Wiggins (Jeff). Great grandfather of Peyton, Kyle, and Brennan Blackledge and Brandt and Cole Wiggins. Also survived by his dear friend Marjorie Huff. Age 87 years; a native of New Orleans and a resident of Slidell since 1969. Mr. Maxwell was a proud graduate of Warren Easton High School in New Orleans and the United States Merchant Marine Academy at Kingspoint. He was a veteran of WWII and a retired Chief Marine Engineer on the Green Island for Central Gulf, Inc. After his retirement, he volunteerd at Slidell Memorial Hospital, Big Brothers and Toys for Tots. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend a gathering in honor of Mr. Maxwell at HONAKER FUNERAL HOME, 1751 GAUSE Blvd. WEST (IN FOREST LAWN CEMETERY), Slidell, LA on Thursday, June 14, 2012 from 11:00am until 12:30pm. A private graveside service will be held on Friday, June 15, 2012 in Lake Lawn Metairie Mausoleum. Donations to The Alzheimers Association at www.alz.org or P.O.
