Widow of Earl “Pat” Ward, she is survived by her children Kevin Ward and wife Paula, Stephen Ward and wife Laura and Ashley Ward Gernon and husband Jeff. She is also survived by six grandchildren Benjamin, Samuel and Anna Ward, Gabrielle, Parker and Colton Gernon and step-grandchild Ryan Lipps, her brother Edgar “Pepper” Hall and brother-in-law David Ward and his wife Betty. A native New Orleanian, Eva often recounted fond memories of dressing her family up in home-made costumes for Mardi Gras or winning numerous jitterbug contests, and she never lost her love of listening to “the oldies” especially Fats Domino. She was an active member in the Republican Party. A former secretary at J.B. Fowler, Eva left the workforce to become a devoted mother to her then young children. She was very involved in her church, Salem Lutheran Church in Gretna, La, volunteering as a Sunday school teacher, Volleyball coach, Vacation Bible School teacher, and Church Secretary. After her children were grown, she enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and could often be heard reading books or singing songs with them. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend a memorial service on Saturday, June 23, 2012 at 10:30 am at the Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, 1 North Marigold Drive, Covington, LA, 70433. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations in Eva’s memory may be made to CurePSP at www.psp.org. ===================
