Joseph Anthony Baggott, 76, died Friday, July 20, 2012.

He was the husband of Rebecca Sumrall Baggott; father and father-in-law of 
Dennis A. and Sondra Baggott Sr.; brother and brother-in-law of Gloria B. and 
Gerald Roser; grandfather and grandfather-in-law of Joseph B. and Tiffany, 
Dennis A. Jr., and great-grandfather of Easton Baggott. He was the son of the 
late Joseph George and Frances Botti Baggott. He also is survived by nieces, 
nephews, cousins and friends.

The New Orleans native and former Westbank resident was a Slidell resident.  
He was retired from the New Orleans Police Department and Freeport McMoRan 
Inc., and served in the U.S. Marine Corps. He also was a member of numerous 
service and fraternal organizations.

Funeral services are today at 11 a.m., with visitation starting at 9 a.m., at 
Honaker Funeral Home, Forest Lawn Cemetery, 1751 W. Gause Blvd., Slidell.

In lieu of flowers, donations preferred to the Salvation Army.
