Mary Elizabeth “Beth” Johnson Colón passed away on Friday, July 13, 2012.

Beloved wife of the late Héctor J. Colón for 51 years. Mother of Wanda Rankin 
and spouse Dr. Kevin, Eduardo “Eddie” Colón, Elizabeth “Liz” Brett and spouse 
Tom, Mary Ellen Colón and spouse Jordi Sales, Grace Colón and spouse Peter 
Noymer. Grandmother of Bill and Mimi Rankin, Taylor and Meg Brett, Nicolás 
Sales, Ben, Kate and Jack Noymer. Sister of Grace Burleigh (Gene), Frank Emil 
Johnson III (Cathy) and Thomas Johnson (Flo).

Age 78 years. A native of New Orleans, she lived in her beloved Puerto Rico for 
25 years prior to retiring to Covington for the past 14 years. She was a second 
mother to many; adored sister and aunt, cherished friend, devoted mother and 
grandmother, her kind and generous spirit will be missed by all.

Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the visitation at 
E.J. Fielding Funeral Home Inc., 2260 W. 21st. Ave., Covington, LA 70433 on 
Tuesday, July 17, 2012 from 12:00 Noon until 1:30 PM followed by a memorial 
mass at St. Joseph Abbey, 75376 River Rd., Covington, LA 70435 at 2:00 PM. 
Interment in St. Joseph Abbey Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family would prefer donations to Voice of the Retarded,
