Irwin

Julian G. Irwin Jr., 86, died Friday, July 20, 2012.

The Atlanta native was a Slidell resident since 1972 and a member of First 
Baptist Church of Slidell. The major retired from the U.S. Air Force in 1975.

He was preceded in death by the late JoAnn McAfee Irwin and was the father of 
Mark Hope and Gregory Lee Irwin; father-in-law of Melissa Grush Irwin; 
grandfather of Jennifer Lynn and Misty Leigh Irwin; brother-in-law of Frank and 
Imogene McAfee and uncle of Teresa, Karen and Keith McAfee.

Funeral services with the Rev. Jim Baham officiating will be July 25 at 1 p.m., 
with visitation starting at noon, at Honaker Funeral Home, Forest Lawn 
Cemetery, 1751 W. Gause Blvd., Slidell. 
Burial will be later in Biloxi National Cemetery.
