Joseph W. Martin, Sr. passed away on Sunday, July 8, 2012.

Beloved husband of 52 years to Loretta Cambre Martin; loving father of Tammy 
Ann Fruchtnicht (Scott) and Joseph Martin, Jr. (Cherie); grandfather of Talia, 
Tiffany, Lauren, JoRie’ and Joey; and brother to Ruth Mitchell and Geraldine 
Baudean. He was preceded in death by his grandson, Scotty Fruchtnicht; his 
mother, Marie Plaisance Martin; his father, Cleveland J. Martin; a sister, 
Gertie Bourgeois; and a brother, Arthur Martin.

Age 72 years, he was native of Marrero, LA and a resident of Covington, LA for 
the past 20 years. A United States Army veteran, he was employed with the 
Jefferson Parish Sheriff’s Department for 15 years and Winn Dixie security 
department for some 25 years.

Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the funeral service 
at the Chapel of E.J. Fielding Funeral Home, 2260 West 21st Avenue, Covington, 
LA 70433 on Friday, July 13, 2012 at 12:00 Noon.

A wake will be held on Thursday, July 12, 2012 from 6:00 to 9:00 PM, with 
visitation continuing on Friday, July 13, 2012 at 9:00 AM until service time.

Interment will follow services at St. Joseph Abby, 75376 River Road, St. 
Benedict, LA.
