Alvina Stevens, devoted and loving mother, left this earth and into the arms of 
her Savior and Lord Jesus Christ on July 20, 2012, at Slidell Memorial Hospital 
at the age of 83. 

A native of Biloxi, MS, she moved to New Orleans at 8 years old. She then moved 
to the Westbank and has been on the Northshore for the past 8 years. 
Alvina retired as a Quality Control Inspector from the Coca-Cola Bottling 
Company. 

Daughter of the late Elmer Stevens, Jr. and Odile Duggan Stevens Mother of 
Charlotte Anne Wooley Miller (Clayton), and Terry Wooley. Sister of Elmer 
Stevens and Norma Lea Sardenga. Grandmother of Rachael Miller Dietz (Skip) and 
Kristie Miller Acosta (Craig), and Chantel Wooley. Great Grandmother of 
Christian and Benjamin Dietz, Craig, Ava and Cole Acosta and Jordan Wooley.

Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend Funeral Services at 
St. Theresa of Avila Catholic Church, 1404 Erato St., New Orleans on Tuesday, 
July 24 at 2:30. Visitation at the church from 1:30 until service time. 
The interment will follow at Westlawn Memorial Park Cemetery, Gretna, LA.
