GARRETT

Russell E. Garrett, 94, died Monday, Aug. 20, 2012.

He was the husband of the late Dorothy Gonzales Garrett; father of Robert D., 
Rodney G., and Stephen W. Garrett; son of the late Jesse and Ella Garrett and 
brother of Gerald Garrett and the late Elois Garrett Long and Phillip Garrett. 
He also is survived by seven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

The native of Crestview, Fla., was a longtime Metairie resident and recently a 
Slidell resident. The retired motorcycle dealer was a first sergeant in the 
U.S. Army during World War II.

A graveside service will be Aug. 24 at 1:30 p.m. at Biloxi National Cemetery, 
Biloxi, Miss.
