He lived in Carriere, Miss., where he moved in 1994 from Barberton, Ohio. The U.S. Navy veteran of World War II who served in the Asiatic, Pacific, American, European and African campaigns had been employed by the Seiberling Tire and Rubber and Babcock and Wilcox Companies, in Barberton, Ohio. Survivors include his wife of 65 years, Dorothy Hiley; sons and daughters-in- law, David and Margaret Hiley of Barberton, Ohio, Mike and Susan Hiley of Carriere, Miss., and Peggy and Rick Hite of Slidell; grandchildren and their spouses, Derek and Sarah Hiley of Cleveland; Gabriel and Angelica Hiley of Albuquerque, N.M.; Joshua and Ali Hiley of Akron, Ohio; Andrea and Matt Bedford and Rick and Priscilla Hite, all of Slidell; Shauna Brown of London and Marvella Williamson of Canandaigua, N.Y.; great-grandchildren, Samantha, Sharon, Alexandria and Cameron Hiley, Destinee Imbornone, Bryce and Braden Hite and Brandon and Kalyssa Acoff, and sister, Edith Shairer of Independence, Mo. He was preceded in death by his siblings, Mary Zahoran, Loretta Monago, Helen Gish, Marie Lewis, Agnes Eckenrode and Lloyd and Grover Hiley and many nieces and nephews. Memorial services for the immediate family will be private followed by a full military honors service in October at Biloxi National Cemetery, Biloxi, Miss.
