The Westwego native lived in Arkansas and then Texas for 57 years, moving 10 years ago to Covington. She worked with St. Anselm in Madisonville and was a St. Joseph Altar Society and Red Bluff Baptist Church member. She taught crochet and knitting to the Yawn of Love group in Folsom. She was the wife of the late John Madera; mother of Barbara Graves of Texas and the late Phil Madera, and sister of Madeline Vicari of Covington and Lucille Clarke of Florida. She also is survived by three grandchildren, nine great- grandchildren of Texas, and many nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be Aug. 18 at noon, with visitation starting at 10 a.m., at Red Bluff Baptist Church in Folsom. In lieu of flowers, donations requested to Hospice of St. Tammany or in memory of Gail Wilkins Mission Scholarship Fund, payable to Red Bluff Baptist Church, 15204 Louisiana Highway 1087, Folsom, LA 70437. Bagnell & Son Funeral Home of Covington is handling arrangements. ===================
