Born in Hampton, Virginia and later settling in the New Orleans area. Thom attended LSU, Baton Rouge and started his career during the World's Fair in New Orleans working for Ticketmaster. He spent many years in Natchez, MS where he owned and operated The Guest House Historic Inn and The King's Tavern Restaurant. Thom enjoyed the history of Natchez and had the opportunity to work as a Tour Manager aboard The Grand American Queen giving tours on the Mississippi and Ohio Rivers. He has been a member of several Mardi Gras Krewes and honored to reign as King Arthur and King Rhea. He is the beloved son of Sammie Miller Duhe' and her husband Ron Duhe'. He is survived by his devoted friend and partner of 21 years, Shawyn A. Mars. Thom was preceded in death by his father, Thomas Drinkwater of Boston, Mass. and his adoptive father Ronald Miller of Springfield, Missouri. Brother of Alicia Miller and Uncle of Orson Miller. Grandson of H.R., Alice W. Jones of Hampton, Virginia. Nephew of H.R., Terry and Jerry Jones and Margaret Harbeck of Hampton, VA. And Pearl Drake of Seattle, WA. Also survived by numerous cousins. He is a member of Trinity Episcopal Church, Natchez, Ms. and The Musical Arts League of Natchez. Thom will be remembered by countless friends for his beautiful smile a warm and unending personality and his generous and loving spirit. A Memorial Service will be held at Trinity Episcopal Church, 1329 Jackson Av., New Orleans on Friday, August 17, 2012 at 1:00 pm. The Funeral Services will take place at R. Hayden Smith Funeral Home, 245 South Armistead Av., Hampton, VA on Tuesday, August 21, 2012. Visitation from 9:00 am to 11:00 am with the services beginning at 11:00 am. Interment immediately following at Parklawn Cemetery ===================
