He is survived by his wife, Carlene Ragusa Needham; his children, Sara Needham Russell, Elizabeth (Bess) d’Arlan Needham and Michael David Needham; a stepdaughter, Mary Ragusa Ahrens; a sister, Maureen Needham Aldrich; and his friend of 40 years, Maria Benton. He was predeceased in death by his parents, Maurice d’Arlan Needham and Thyria Hughart Needham. Needham was a veteran of the United States Marine Corps, a 50 year member of SCCA (Sports Car Club of America), and a member of the Krewe of Dominique Mardi Gras Club. He was the proud owner of several vintage sports cars, which he raced for many years. He lived, he loved his wife, children, cars and key lime pie, and his life mattered to all who knew and loved him. Interment will take place in Hampton, Iowa in the Needham Family plot. Contributions to American Liver Foundation, 39 Broadway, Suite 2700, New York, NY 10006 (212-668-1000), is requested in lieu of flowers. The family thanks St. Catherine’s Hospice and Heritage Manor for all of their loving care. Arrangements are by Williams Funeral Home in Pearl River. ===================
