The WWII veteran who served in the U.S. Army was a retired Boeing engineer and Life Master bridge player. He was the husband of the late Elizabeth Duffy Parker; father and father-in-law of Theresa P. and Samuel Robinson, Cheryl P. and Julian Richards and Angela P. and Jim Kangas; brother of Neil Parker, Elizabeth Lowe, Jean Sopkowski, Mary Joan McBride, the late Donald Parker, Gerald Parker, Frances Munkelwitz and Alice Mattson. He is survived by eight grandchildren, Dr. Laura Kidd, Parker and Benjamin Robinson, Tricia Young, Forrest Richards, Julian Richards III, and Matthew and Mary Kangas, and two great-grandchildren, Emily and Molly Young. A funeral Mass will be Aug. 6 at 11 a.m. at St. Luke Catholic Church, 910 Cross Gates Blvd., Slidell. Interment will be in Biloxi National Cemetery. ===================
