FRANK MATTHEW SMITH, SR., of Slidell, LA, passed away on Monday, August 6, 
2012.

Beloved Husband of Roberta Childress Smith
Son of the late Hazel Beckendorf Smith and Walter Smith.
Grandson of the late William and Lydia Boone Beckendorf and Daniel Jesse and 
Ella Bonney Smith.
Father of Karen Cook(Eric Acosta), Frank M. Smith, Jr., Catherine ”Mitzie” 
Ross(Philip R.,III), Nancy Penton(John,III), Russel Smith, Duane 
Smith(Kathleen), Donald Smith, Sr.(Sabrina), and the late Sharon Smith.
Brother of Louis Smith, the late Daniel Smith, Lawrence Smith, William Smith, 
Walter Smith, and Ella S. Miller.
Also survived by 13 grandchildren ,13 great grandchildren and numerous nieces 
and nephews.

Age 77 years.

A native of New Orleans and a longtime resident of Slidell.
He retired from New Orleans Public Service after 35 years. He was a member of 
the Knights of Columbus Council #9973.

Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Funeral
Services at HONAKER FUNERAL HOME,
1751 GAUSE Blvd. WEST (IN FOREST LAWN CEMETERY), Slidell, LA
on Friday, August 10, 2012 at 1:00 P.M.

Interment in FOREST LAWN CEMETERY.

Visitation on Friday after 11:00 A.M. until funeral time.
