The New Orleans native spent the latter part of her life living in the Mandeville/Covington area. She was preceded in death by her husband, Henry J. Briggs Jr.; son, Dr. Henry J. Briggs III, and parents, George Wetzel and Rosalie Borges. She is survived by four of her children and their spouses, Ronald J. Briggs, Barbara E. Briggs, Ann and Kevin G. Heigle and Janet and Thomas E. Hahn; six grandchildren and their spouses, Jenifer R. Briggs and Brandon Boutelle, Joseph C. and Heather Briggs, Liza D. Briggs, Jill Heigle and Jeffrey Siemssen and Eric Briggs and Julie E. Heigle; two stepgrandchildren, Marshall A. Hahn and his wife, Jennifer Leigh, and Matthew A. Hahn, and six great-grandchildren and four great- stepgrandchildren, Clara and Eleanor Boutelle, Hank, Holli and Logan Briggs, Charlotte Ann Siemssen and Mason, Brooklyn, Thomas and Andi Hahn. Known for her quick wit, great wisdom and unconditional love, the humble woman was devoted to her Catholic faith and very active in her church parish, Mary, Queen of Peace in Mandeville. A Mass of Christian burial will be Sept. 11 at 11 a.m., with visitation at 10 a.m., at Mary, Queen of Peace, 1501 W. Causeway Approach, Mandeville. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. ===================
