Arthur Wadwell “Brownie” Brown died Friday, Sept. 14, 2012.

Survivors include his wife, Kathryn “Kay” Tomlinson Brown; daughters, Elizabeth 
Brown Daniels of Falls Church, Va., and Ann Brown Auzine of Dallas, Ga.; 
daughter-in-law, Helen Brown of Minden, and six grandchildren and three great-
grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a son, Nelson Evan Brown, and wife, 
Addie Muriel Roberts Brown.

He was born in Jessup, Md., to George and Elizabeth White Brown and spent most 
of his life in Maryland and Louisiana. He lived at the Bonfouca Marina in 
Slidell since 1996.

The U.S. Army engineer was a pilot and helicopter mechanic at Fort Meade in 
Maryland. He flew planes and helicopters, piloted boats and tooled cross 
country on a 1939 Harley Davidson.

A memorial service will be Oct. 6 at 11 a.m. at the Bonfouca Marina, 33370 
Rivet Drive, Slidell.
