A resident of Folsom since 1946, he was born February 9, 1922 in New Orleans to the late Louis and Louise Mineville Cazaubon. The beloved husband of the late Esther Joiner Cazaubon, he is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Lionel Paul, Jr. and Donna Cazaubon and Gary Wayne and Martha Cazaubon; his loving grandchildren and their spouses include: Amy Cazaubon Koepp (Allen), Lionel Paul, III “Trey” (Renee), Kristen Cazaubon O’Keefe (Sammy), Corey R. Cazaubon (Bailey); three great grandchildren: Emma Renee Cazaubon, Claire Catherine and Matthew Ryan Fussell and three step great grandchildren: MacKenzie, Tres and Brady O’Keefe. He was preceded in death by two siblings, Louis George and Helen Louise Cazaubon. The family would like express their appreciation to his compassionate and devoted caregiver, Theresa Coyne. Mr. Lionel was always a gifted athlete and avid sports fan. A veteran of the U.S. Coast Guard, he had a dairy farm for many years and was also a retiree from the GNO Expressway/Causeway Commission. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the funeral service at 2:00 PM on Tuesday, September 18, 2012 at E.J. Fielding Funeral Home, 2260 W. 21st Ave., Covington, LA 70433. Visiting hours will begin Tuesday at 12:00 Noon. Interment at the Allison Cemetery in Folsom will immediately follow the service.
