Rev. Leo P. Edgerson, Pastor of First Free Mission Baptist Church, Mandeville, 
passed from this life on September 6, 2012 at his home in Mandeville, LA at the 
age of 85. 

Devoted husband of the late Julia Butler Edgerson for 58 years. Father of 
Janice F. Edgerson, Mathis Edgerson, Phillip Edgerson (Sabrina), Errica Jones 
(Mickey), Letitcia Scott (Eddie) and Mechelle Burnett (Joe) and the late 
Phyllis Penn. 
Brother of Dorothy Edgerson. 
Loving Grandfather of 24 grandchildren and 43 great-grandchildren.

Rev. Edgerson will Lie in State on Friday, September 14, 2012 from 9:00 am to 
3:00 pm at First Free Mission Baptist Church, 434 Lamarque St., Mandeville, 
followed by the evening wake services at Starlight Missionary Baptist Church, 
521 W. 28th Street, Covington, 7:00 pm. Visitation at the church on Friday 
evening from 5:00 pm until service time. 

Funeral services will take place the next day, Saturday, September 15, 2012 at 
First Baptist Church, 1895 Hwy. 190, Mandeville at 11:00 am. 
Visitation at the church on Saturday from 9:00 am until service time. 

Interment immediately following at Mandeville Cemetery. 

Repass will be held at First Baptist Church, Mandeville immediately following 
the interment. All are welcome.
