She was born May 16, 1931 in Leachville, AR to the late Robert and Nona Little Caldwell and has been a resident of Metairie since 1981. From very humble beginnings, she raised three successful children of which she was extremely proud of their achievements. Gerald J. Huffman, Jr., attorney, Sharon Lea Huffman, medical doctor and Theresa Ann Robertson, attorney. She was dearly beloved by her children and their families: Gerald J. Huffman, Jr. (Gwen), Sharon Lea Huffman, M.D. (John) and Theresa Ann Robertson (Thomas), she is survived by their father, Gerald J., Sr.; one sister, Dorothy Dunn and seven grandchildren: Gerald J., III “Chip”, Adam C. and Jack R. Huffman, JC, Katie and Sam Huffman, Thomas A. “Alex” and Julianne N.M. Robertson. She was preceded in death by one sister, Rae Jean Caldwell; two brothers, Woodrow and James Caldwell and one granddaughter, Sharianne Huffman. A graduate of Missouri Baptist School of Nursing in 1951, Eithel was a homemaker for many years. As she managed her home in various cities around the country, she also worked as a Registered Nurse intermittently throughout her lifetime. Memorial services to honor Eithel’s life well lived will be announced on a date in the near future.
