Motichek, in the presence of the Lord Jesus Christ on Tuesday, September 11, 2012. A resident of Madisonville since 1948, Toni is the loving “mama” of Helen M. Wilson (Earl), George R. “Bob” Motichek (Jeanne), Francis P. Motichek (Jobet), Pauline M. Smith (Scott) and Gabriel A. Motichek as well as ten grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. She is survived by one sister, Olga, and a host of extended family members near Milano, Italy. Toni was born in Bisnate, Italy on Feb. 8, 1926, the daughter of Antonio Fraschini and Emma Raimondi Cominese. She met George in Italy on his first tour of duty with the U.S. Army in WWII and, at the end of the war; he re-enlisted to return to Italy where she waited for him. They were married in 1948 and returned to the US to settle in Madisonville. From that time on, Toni worked to create a haven of faith, rest, laughter and great food for an ever-expanding family. She created glorious Sunday dinners for her entire family and a host of welcome guest every Sunday for more than 60 years and with her husband, George S. Motichek, insisted on daily prayer and family devotions as long as there were children at home. She supported her husband George in his love of gardening, leading their children to work alongside him to raise, sell and give away wonderful strawberries, vegetables and Christmas trees. She loved graciously, deeply and actively, and was loved in return in the same intense manner. Toni was a longtime member of St. Anselm Catholic Church in Madisonville and in her later years attended First Baptist Church of Mandeville. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the funeral service from E.J. Fielding Funeral Home Inc., 2260 W. 21st. Ave., Covington, LA 70433 on Friday, September 14, 2012 at 12:00 PM. Visitation from 10:00 AM until service time. Interment in Theodore Dendinger Cemetery. A special thanks are extended to the nurses and caregivers from St. Joseph Hospice. ===================
