Melba H. Reid, 82, died Wednesday, Aug. 22, 2012.

She was the wife of the late Morgan W. Reid, and together they owned Reid’s 
Stop and Shop of Folsom and Tchefuncte Family Campground for many years.

She was the mother of Larry L. Reid and Rosemary R. Chiantella and daughter of 
the late Lee and Vergie Webb Henderson of Texas. 

She was preceded in death by three brothers who lived in Texas and two 
grandchildren, David Matthew Adams and Madeline Swaggerty. 

She is survived by three grandchildren, Angela Chiantella, Lee C. Reid and 
Tracy S. Harris, and five great-grandchildren and three great-great-
grandchildren.

She was a member of First Baptist Church of Folsom and a longtime member of the 
Y.M.C.A. in Covington. Memorial donations may be made to First Baptist Church 
of Folsom.

A memorial service will be Sept. 8 at 10 a.m. at First Baptist Church of 
Folsom.
