REV. JOSEPH S. SPIRES, of Slidell, LA, passed away on Wednesday, September 26, 
2012.

Beloved husband of the late Ramona Nelson Spires.
Father of Steve Spires(Eve), David Spires(Denean) and Michael Spires(Melanie).
Brother of John Spires, Jerry Spires, Johannah Darnell, Jason Spires, Jeff 
Spires, Julian Spires, Janet Noble, Janella Hammersmark, Josiah Spires, the 
late Jackie Gotz and James Spires.
Also survived by 15 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.

He served in WWII in the U.S. Army as a Corporal in the Rifle Corps, serving in 
Occupied Japan.

He was a retired Church of God Minister, Missionary, and a St. Tammany Parish 
Public School Teacher at Boyet Junior High where he taught 6th grade science.

Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Funeral
Services at HONAKER FUNERAL HOME,
1751 GAUSE Blvd. WEST (IN FOREST LAWN CEMETERY), Slidell, LA
on Wednesday, October 3, 2012 at 11:00 A.M.

Interment in FOREST LAWN CEMETERY.

Visitation on Tuesday evening from 6:00 P.M. to 9:00 P.M.
and on Wednesday after 9:00 A.M. until funeral time.

Memorial gifts would be appreciated in lieu of flowers.
