Ruby passed away on Thursday, October 11, 2012 at North Oaks Hospital in 
Hammond, LA at the age of 93. 

She was a longtime resident of Slidell, LA and later moved to Hammond to be 
near her children. 
She was a very loving wife, mother, sister, and will be missed dearly. 
Ruby was a volunteer at Slidell Memorial Hospital for many years and was also 
the Sunshine Lady for the Happy Hour Senior Citizen Club in Slidell.

Ruby is survived by her son, David Herbez (Cathy), daughter, Carol Herbez, as 
well as numerous nieces and nephews. She was a mother like figure to Thomas 
Magsino (deceased wife Gunne), Arthur Turgeau (deceased wife Sandra) along with 
their 4 children and 10 grandchildren.

Ruby was preceded in death by her husband, Noel J. Herbez, parents, Charles 
Addie Boudreaux, twin brother, Ruben Boudreaux and sister, Doris Boudreaux 
Verderaime.

Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the visitation at 
HONAKER FUNERAL HOME, 1751 GAUSE Blvd. WEST (IN FOREST LAWN CEMETERY), Slidell, 
LA on Monday, October 15, 2012 from 11:00am until 1:00pm. Mass will begin at 
1:00pm. 

Interment will follow in Forest Lawn Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, Memorial Donations may be made to the American Diabetes 
Association, 400 Poydras Street, Suite 1780, New Orleans, LA 70130.
