Survivors include his children and their spouses, Anne and Nick Genes of Walpole, N.H., Laurie and Larry Pomeroy of Pueblo West, Colo., Charles and Jenny O'Brien of Gulf Breeze, Fla., Judy and Mike Brunko of Evergreen, Colo., Kathy and Asghar O’Brien of Walnut Creek, Calif., Christine and John Wallace of Riverton, Utah, and Stephen and Michelle O'Brien of Tampa, Fla.; sister, Pat of Newburyport, Mass., and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife of 43 years, Katherine "Kit" Veronica Marr, and parents, Wilbur and Sarah O'Brien. The World War II veteran who indirectly received a high commendation from General George S. Patton graduated with an economics degree from Spring Hill Jesuit College in Spring Hill, Ala., and worked as a sales representative at Carbine Tool Company. The native of Lawrence, Mass., raised his family in South Hadley, Mass., for 22 years before moving for his job to Slidell. He was a successful Columbian Rope Company sales representative who loved to play golf and have good times with friends and colleagues. A memorial Mass will be Oct. 19 at 4 p.m. at St. Luke Catholic Church, 910 Cross Gates Blvd., Slidell ===================
