January 6, 1939 - October 25, 2012

SHERRILL E. SANDIFER, of Slidell, LA, passed away on Thursday, October 25, 2012 
at Slidell Memorial Hospital.

Beloved husband of Judy Welch Sandifer for the past 28 years.
Father of Ronald “Ronnie” Fuchs (Lys), Jeffrey Fuchs (Janice), Thomas Anthony 
Sandifer, Monica S. Jenkins (Charles), and Stephanie B. Robertson (Bryan).
Step-father of Timmothy Bellott (Gina) and Jennifer A. Bellott.
Son of the late Dorsey R. Sandifer and Mary Elizabeth Cassidy Sandifer.
Brother of Ann Sandifer Dykstra, Linda Sandifer Greene, and Dorsey R. “Dody” 
Sandifer, II.
Also survived by 12 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.

Age 73 years; a native of Brookhaven, MS, a former longtime resident of Baton 
Rouge, LA and a resident of Slidell for the past 23 years. Mr. Sandifer was a 
member of the Slidell B.P.O.E. Lodge for 23 years and in 1996 served as Exalted 
Ruler. Throughout his life he was an automotive mechanic and an avid fisherman.

Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the funeral services 
at HONAKER FUNERAL HOME, 1751 GAUSE Blvd. WEST (IN FOREST LAWN CEMETERY), 
Slidell, LA on Saturday, October 27, 2012 at 12:00pm. Visitation will be from 
9:00am until 12:00pm.
