Rudolph J. Schmidt, Jr. passed away on Saturday, October 6, 2012.

Beloved husband of Jean Riviere Schmidt. Father of Rudy Riviere Schmidt. Uncle 
of Allison Hansen Mullis (Joel) and Ashley Hansen Springgate (Ben). Son of the 
late Geneva and Rudolph J. Schmidt, Sr. Nephew of Earl and Edith Schmidt.

Age 71 years. A native and life long resident of New Orleans, LA. He was an 
Alumni of St. Benedict Seminary in Covington.

Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the funeral mass at 
St. Joseph Abbey, 75376 River Rd., St. Benedict, LA 70457 (near Covington) on 
Wednesday, October 10, 2012 at 2:00 PM.

Visitation at E.J. Fielding Funeral Home Inc., 2260 W. 21st. Ave., Covington, 
LA 70433 from 11:30 AM until 1:30 PM. 

Interment in St. Joseph Abbey Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family would prefer donations to either St. Joseph 
Abbey or to the LA Center for Bleeding and Clotting Disorders, 1430 Tulane 
Ave., TB-31, New Orleans, LA 70112.
