He was a native of St. Rose, LA and a resident of Covington, LA for the past 36 years. Beloved father of Robert G. Wellemeyer (Beth), William G. Wellemeyer (Lori) and Edith G. Wellemeyer; grandfather of Grahm, Autumn, Ry, Dane, William and Zeb; great-grandfather of Schuyler, Daake’, Jaden, Izzac “Z”, Chloe and Lela; and brother to John C. Wellemeyer and Marilyn R. Wellemeyer. He is preceded in death by his wife, Doris Tastet Wellemeyer; his mother, Edith Hess Wellemeyer; and his father, Elmer Hefner Wellemeyer. Bill was a graduate of Jesuit High School, he was a member of Mary Queen of Peace Catholic Church, Knights of Columbus Council #12072 at Mary Queen of Peace, a 4th Degree Knight of Columbus with Assembly #2922 and was a member of the U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary for 38 years and attained the office of Immediate Past Rear Commodore Central. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to celebrate the Funeral Mass at Mary Queen of Peace Catholic Church, 1501 West Causeway Approach, Mandeville, LA on Saturday, October 20, 2012 at 2:00 PM. A wake will be held at E.J. Fielding Funeral Home, 2260 West 21st Avenue, Covington, LA on Friday, October 19, 2012 from 5:00 to 9:00 PM., with the rosary prayed at 7:00 PM followed by the U.S. Coast Guard Ritual. Visitation AT THE CHURCH will be held on Saturday form 1:00 PM until service time. Interment will follow Mass at Pinecrest Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, the family would prefer donations to Mary Queen of Peace Catholic Church or the U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary, Flotilla #42, First Community Bank, Mandeville, LA. ===================
