He is survived by his beloved high school sweetheart and wife of 60 years, Reta Bergquist, his sons Dale Bergquist, Brian Bergquist (Kay), his grandchildren Jennifer Bergquist, Leslie Bergquist, Sara Thomas (Jason), Rachel Mulliniks (Vince), Nathan Bergquist, and Elizabeth Bajon (Ron), four great-grandchildren, his sister Agnes Creed, nieces Irene Gilfillan (Brian), D'Arcy Creed, and nephew Jeff Creed (Trish). He is preceded in death by his parents Axel and Irene Bergquist. Ed retired from Kaiser Aluminum in 1985 having worked at various Kaiser facilities in Washington, West Virginia, Chalmette, LA and overseas in Ghana and Wales during his 31 year career. He was an active member of New Covenant Presbyterian Church, and an enthusiastic volunteer for rebuilding after Hurricane Katrina. He enjoyed exercising, playing bridge, and visiting with friends and family. He will be missed by all who knew him. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend funeral services at New Covenant Presbyterian Church, 4375 Hwy 22, Mandeville, LA 70471 on Monday, November 26, 2012 at 2:00 PM. Visitation on Monday AT THE CHURCH will begin at 11:00 AM. Interment will follow services at Pinecrest Memorial Gardens, 2260 West 21st Avenue, Covington, LA. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to New Covenant Presbyterian Church, 4375 Hwy 22, Mandeville, LA 70471. ===================
