Beloved wife of David Carambat. Mother of Jordan and Timothy Carambat. Daughter of Yvonne Domingue Petitfils and the late Ellis Petitfils, Sr. Sister of Ellis Petitfils, Jr. and Alan Petitfils. She will also be missed by dozens of nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles. Age 48 years. A native of New Orleans and a resident of Covington, LA for the past 27 years. Donna would read these obituaries daily to be certain no one would pass unnoticed. Her own fear of being forgotten is impossible now that the huge void she leaves is revealed by her death. Donnas’ confidence, intelligence, warmth and beauty, once as regular as the sunrise, have set. Those near to her are left in this dark until she lifts us up in spirit when we again remember what she might have expected of us. She will always be young, energetic and dignified in our heavy hearts. She had the uncommon ability to be a person of high standards while never allowing those around her to feel any less in stature. Most did not know she was a regular church going Christian to St. Jane’s Church. Her prayers sustained her in this long difficult struggle and many close friends and family gave her strength. Relatives, friends of the family and employees of Porteous, Hinkle and Johnson Law Firm are invited to attend the funeral mass at St. Jane de Chantel Catholic Church, 72040 Maple St., Abita Springs, LA 70420 on Saturday, November 24, 2012 at 11:00 AM. Visitation at E.J. Fielding Funeral Home Inc., 2260 W. 21st. Ave., Covington, LA 70433 on Friday from 6:00 PM until 9:00 PM and on Saturday, AT THE CHURCH, from 10:00 AM until service time. Interment in Pinecrest Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, the family would prefer donations to M.D. Anderson Cancer Center ===================
