Jane F. Chism, 80, died Friday, Nov. 23, 2012.

Survivors include her six daughters, a brother, four grandchildren, two great-
grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews 
and other relatives. 

She was preceded in death by her parents, Ernest and Eloise Francois; sister, 
Joyce Y. Narcisse, and brother, Stanley J. Francois.

The lifetime Slidell resident was a homemaker and childcare provider for many 
children in the community. She also was a stewardess at Mt. Olive AME Church of 
Slidell and worked in the church feeding ministry.

Funeral services will be Dec. 1 at 11 a.m., with visitation starting at 9 a.m., 
at Mt. Olive AME Church, 2442 Second St. 

Interment will follow at Pineview Cemetery in Preachers’ Oaks on Carroll Road 
in Slidell. 

The Rev. Margaret E. Simms, Mt. Olive pastor, will officiate. 

A repass at the church feeding center will follow the burial.

Flowers can go to Doyle’s Funeral Home and any donations can be brought to the 
feeding center.

Doyle’s Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
