GIFFORD, WILLIAM "BILL" H., JR.
April 25, 1919 - November 4, 2012

WILLIAM (BILL) H. GIFFORD, JR., passed away on Sunday, November 4, 2012 at the 
age of 93. 

He was born on Somerville, Mass. He served his country during WWII in the U.S. 
Navy on the U.S.S. Yorktown from 1941-1945. 

He was the beloved husband of the late Esther Lamulle Gifford. He was son of 
the late William H. Gifford and Helen Budlong Gifford. Brother of the late 
Alfred (Bud) Gifford, Anna Stewart, Flo Stiles, Evelyn Boudreaux, and Virginia 
(Ginny) Kennington. Also survived by his nieces and nephews.

Bill was a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, Slidell, LA. He was 
awarded Citizen of the year 1988-1989. He enjoyed sitting for hours telling 
stories that were very intriguing. He will truly be missed.

Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the funeral services 
at HONAKER FUNERAL HOME, 1751 GAUSE Blvd. WEST (IN FOREST LAWN CEMETERY), 
Slidell, LA on Friday, November 9, 2012 at 12:00pm. Visitation will be from 
11:00am until 12:00pm. 

Interment will follow in Forest Lawn Cemetery, Slidell, LA.

Our sincere thanks to Camellia Gardens and Lakeshore Hospice for their kindness 
and loving care they gave Bill during his time spent there.
