Moore was born in Grenada, Miss., on Dec. 15, 1927. She was preceded in death by her beloved parents, Thomas Wayne Black Sr. and Texanna Putnam Black of Grenada. She is survived by one sister, Evelyn B. Costilow of Slidell; one brother, Thomas Wayne Black Jr. (Anita) of San Antonio; four sons, D. Richard Moore Jr. (Brenda), Russell O. Moore, Donald King and Ronald King. She is also survived by many cherished grandchildren, great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews. Moore retired from the Grenada Lake Medical Center and moved to Slidell to be near her family. She was a former member of the First Baptist Church in Grenada and a current member of the First Baptist Church in Slidell. There will be a private gravesite ceremony at Oddfellows Cemetery in Grenada, where Moore will be buried next to her parents and other family members.
