Beloved wife of the late Philip R. Rist. Daughter of the late Christine and Eugene Dubuisson. Sister of Loretta Filipp and the late Theresa Canulette, Anita Savage, Bernard Dubuisson, Valentine Miller, Eugenia Hieman, Lucille Cauley, Harold Dubuisson and Lelia Galloway. Also survived by her sisters-in-law Ethel Faciane and Ruby Dubuisson, her brother-in-law Ben Filipp and many beloved relatives and friends. A native and lifelong resident of Slidell, LA., Rosemary Dubuisson Rist passed away at the age of 88 years. She was a proud descendant of Francois Dubuisson, who was one of the first settlers to help establish the Slidell/Bonfouca area, a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in Slidell and an avid New Orleans Saints fan. Rosemary Dubuisson Rist was affectionately known by many as “Aunt Rosie” or “Aunt Sassy” and her loved ones were affectionately known by Aunt Rosie as her “precious hearts”. The family would like to express their gratitude to Rosemary Dubuisson Rist's doctors, nurses and support staff at Ochsner Northshore Hospital, Slidell Memorial Hospital and her home health aides and caregiver for the love and attention they gave Rosemary Dubuisson Rist and the comfort they gave her family. The family would also like to extend a special thank you to all of our family and friends for their prayers, love, encouragement and support during this difficult time. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the funeral services at HONAKER FUNERAL HOME, 1751 GAUSE Blvd. WEST (IN FOREST LAWN CEMETERY), Slidell, LA on Friday, November 30, 2012 at 11:00am.
