John Eugene Schrader, 81, died Sunday, Nov. 18, 2012.

Survivors include his wife of 43 years, Trudy; daughter and son-in-law, Kathryn 
and Wendell Tanner and five grandchildren, Anastasha and Jonathan Wallace, and 
Courtney, Carolina and Zack Tanner.

The native of Mt. Carmel, Ill., was a Slidell resident since 1973.

The Trinity Presbyterian Church founding member graduated from Southern 
Illinois University and Covenant Theological Seminary with a master’s degree in 
divinity. After 23 years as an aerospace industry design engineer, the U.S. 
Army veteran retired from Martin Marietta.

Visitation will be Nov. 24 at 10 a.m. in the sanctuary, followed by a 
celebratory service at 11 a.m., at Trinity Presbyterian Church, 710 S. Military 
Road, Slidell.
