Jimmie Green Strickland Jr., 77, of Slidell died Friday, Nov. 23, 2012.

He is survived by his wife, Octavia Strickland; sons, Larry Strickland, Darryl 
Strickland, Jimmie Green Strickland III, Tracey Strickland Sr., Nakia 
Strickland, all of Slidell, and Michael White of Vossburg, Miss.; brothers, 
Bobby and Dobby Strickland of Slidell; sisters, Fannie Tillison of Slidell, and 
Lannie Moody of Quitman, Miss., and 31 grandchildren and 16 great-
grandchildren. 

He was preceded in death by his parents, Jimmie Strickland Sr., and Kathleen 
Strickland; and brother; Clarence Ray Strickland.

The native of Barnett, Miss., owned and operated Strickland Construction for 45 
years. 
He was a Macedonia Baptist Church member in Slidell.

Funeral services will be Nov. 30 at 6 p.m. in Tabernacle Baptist Church, 
Slidell, and Dec. 1 at 1 p.m. at East Baptist Church in Barnett, Miss. 

Burial will be in East Baptist Church cemetery in Barnett, Miss.

Arrangements are by Baylous Funeral Home in Picayune, Miss.
