Verna Clara Butler departed this life on Saturday, December 1, 2012 at 4:30 
p.m. at her home in Mandeville, Louisiana. 

She was baptized and became a member of Newell Chapel Methodist Church. 

Beloved wife of 55 years to William Aaron Butler Sr. 
To this union seven children were born. 

She was the daughter of the late Charley and Marie Poole of Mandeville, 
Louisiana. 
Devoted mother to William Aaron (Sharon), Fannor Otis (Pamela), Casimir 
Preston, Paulette Marie, Felton David (Adora), Mary Ada (Herbert). 

She leaves to cherish her memory, one sister, Dolores Moore, one brother in 
law, Charles. Loving grandmother of eighteen grandchildren and nineteen great 
grandchildren. She was preceded in death by one son Charley Peter, and one 
grandson Dennis Mark, Jr.

Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Funeral Services 
on Saturday, December 8, 2012 at Newell United Methodist Church, 229 Lamarque 
St., Mandeville, LA at 12:00 Noon. 
Visitation at the church on Saturday, from 10:00 am until service time. 

Interment immediately following at Mandeville Cemetery. 

Serenity Funeral Home, Covington in charge of arrangements.
