He was born November 12, 1927 in New Orleans to the late John M. and Mae Wicks Coleman and has been a resident of Covington since 1993. The beloved husband of Pamela Lachin Coleman, he is survived by three daughters: Elizabeth A. Coleman, Monica C. Rapier (Steve), Margaret C. Murphy (Michael); two sons, Roy H., Jr. and Lewis M. Coleman (Kim); two sisters, Claire Raphael and Irma Guinle; three grandchildren: Lane Rapier, Tanner Rapier and Mabyn Coleman. He was preceded in death by two brothers, John M., Jr. and Donald S. Coleman. Mr. Coleman retired from Ochsner Foundation Hospital, Division of Research, as a Senior Research Associate after 52 years of service. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the funeral mass at 11:00 AM on Friday, December 7, 2012 at Guardian Angel Carmelite Chapel, 73530 River Rd. Covington, LA 70435. A time of visitation will take place at E.J. Fielding Funeral Home, 2260 W. 21st Ave. Covington, LA 70433 on Friday from 9:00 AM until 10:30 AM. For those who would like to attend, committal rights and interment will take place at 9:45 AM on Saturday, December 8, 2012 at the St. Joseph Abbey Cemetery.
