Richard “Dick” E. Constans, 64, of Lacombe died Thursday, Dec. 6, 2012.

Survivors include his wife of the past 41 years, Debbie Constans; children and 
their spouses, Ryan J. and April Constans of Torrance, Calif., and Beth 
Constans and Ryan Inzenga of Prairieville; sister, Connie McFadden of Boynton 
Beach, Fla., and grandchildren, Evelyn, Nolan and Josie.

The native of Delray Beach, Fla., had been a Lacombe resident since 1977 and 
was an active member of Aldersgate United Methodist Church, where he served 
endless hours with the technical maintenance and music ministry. 
He was a graduate of Florida State University, where he earned a master’s 
degree in geology, and was a passionate Seminole fan. He retired as a 
paleontologist after 27 years of service for Chevron and served his country in 
the U.S. Army Reserves.

A memorial service will be Dec. 11 at 4 p.m., with visitation starting at 2 
p.m., at Aldersgate United Methodist Church, 360 Robert Blvd., Slidell. A 
reception will follow in the John Wesley Center at Aldersgate United Methodist 
Church.

In lieu of flowers, donations preferred to the Aldersgate United Methodist 
Church Music Ministry.
