He was born January 21, 1924 in Algiers, LA to the late Joseph DeCorte and the late Annie Leonard DeCorte. The husband of the late Eugenie Florence Turton DeCorte, he is survived by four Children: Eileen D. deHaro (ex-husband Edward Joseph), Jean D. Lotz (husband Mark), Dennis DeCorte (wife Bonnie L. Hershey) and Philip DeCorte (wife Stephanie Kellogg); one sister, Catherine Pastor; seven grandchildren: Edward Joaquin, Stacey Elizabeth and Stuart Alfredo deHaro, Alison Jane Lotz, Karen Elizabeth, Brian Philip and David Joseph DeCorte; six great-grandchildren and four step great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Thomas L. and Joseph S. DeCorte. Mr. DeCorte fought with the CG4A Gliders in the Army Air Corps during World War II. Following the war he worked at Falstaff Brewery, NOPSI until his retirement in 1978. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the memorial mass at 11:00 AM on Saturday, December 22, 2012 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 28029 Main St. Lacombe, LA 70445. Visiting hours at the church will begin the 22nd at 9:00 AM. Interment of his cremated remains will take place on a date in the near future. In lieu of flowers, donations to Council on Aging St. Tammany are preferred U.S. Veteran ===================
