Irene Schuerman Gibbens passed away Friday, December 7, 2012 in Covington, LA. 

She was born July 25, 1943 in Richland Center, Wisconsin to the late Frederick 
and Haddie Waddell Schuerman and has been a resident of Louisiana since 1965.

The beloved wife of the late John J. Gibbens, she is survived by three 
children: J. Michael Gibbens (Diane), Susan I. Gibbens and Janet Gibbens 
Marler; one sister, Lois Hopkins; three grandchildren: Karen Eliser, Scott 
Marler, Jayme Foster and five great grandchildren: Zoe, Eli, Ava and Emma 
Foster and Abigail Marler. She was preceded in death by one sister, Bea 
Schuerman and three brothers: Lyle, Stan and Fred Schuerman.

Friends are welcome to gather in memoriam with Irene’s family for tea at 1:00 
PM on Sunday, December 8, 2012 at Christwood, 100 Christwood Blvd. Covington, 
LA 70433.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Heart Association.
