Frederic Gonzales Jr., 81, died Wednesday, Dec. 26, 2012.

Survivors include his wife of 61 years, Earline Penton Gonzales; children and 
their spouses, Frederic Gonzales III, David and Jaime Gonzales and Lisa and 
Tracy Moragas; grandchildren and their spouses, Kristen and Michael Graves, 
Ryan Gonzales, Ashley and Jake Kiefer, Andree, Danielle and Lauren Gonzales and 
Joshua and Jason Moragas; great-grandchildren, Madison, Taylor and Tyler Graves 
and Isabella Gonzales. 

He was preceded in death by his parents, Claire Burns and Frederic Gonzales Sr.

The New Orleans native who played sports throughout his years at Holy Cross 
High School remained a sports enthusiast and was a Mandeville resident for the 
past 22 years. He was employed by Whitney National Bank and International City 
Bank as assistant cashier and vice-President for a combined career of 47 years. 

He also was a veteran of the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict.

The memorial service will be Dec. 29 at 1 p.m., with visitation starting at 
noon, at Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church, 312 Lafitte St., Mandeville.
