Reid Edwin Pinac Sr., 75, of Slidell died Friday, Dec. 7, 2012.

Survivors include his wife of the past 54 years, Elizabeth “Betty” Ponseti 
Pinac; children, Terri, Rene’, Liane and Chris; cousin, Yvonne Alciatore Davis; 
grandchildren, Christine and Carl LaRosa, Stephen, Courtney, Renee and Kasey 
Pinac and Kenan and Abigail Buchert; great-grandchildren, Hayden Heine and 
Brody Pinac, and numerous nieces and nephews. 

He was preceded in death by his son, Reid Pinac Jr., and parents, Roger Pinac 
and Kathleen Oser.

The New Orleans native had been a Slidell resident since 1985. 
He served his country in the U.S. Army National Guard and was a retired 
superintendent and longtime employee of Gervais Favrot Construction Co., New 
Orleans, and a former superintendent for Charles Favret Construction Co., 
Metairie. 
He was a member of the Carpenters and Piledrivers Local Union No. 1846 for 39 
years, a Third Degree member of the Knights of Columbus at St. Genevieve 
Catholic Church in Slidell and also a former Men’s Club and Financial Committee 
president and Building Committee board member at St. Genevieve Catholic Church, 
Slidell.

The funeral Mass will be Dec. 15 at 11 a.m. with visitation from 9-11 a.m., at 
St. Genevieve Catholic Church, 58189 Louisiana Highway 433, Thompson Road, 
Slidell. 

Interment will be held later.
