Beloved Wife of the late Albert Bernard Plauche for 52 years. Daughter of the late Evie Dubois Antilley and William Elisha Antilley. Mother of Billie Mae Pittman and Melanie Edwards. Mother-in-law of the late Bobby Pittman and Thomas Edwards. Sister of Vera Hortman, Louise Gore and Frank Antilley. Also survived by 5 grandchildren; Kristie Edwards Cato, Anita Pittman Powell, Patricia Pittman, Jennifer Pittman Lea and Charles Pittman, 9 great grandchildren; Megan Cato, Cody and Justin Powell, Brendon Lea, Caitlyn Powell, Jordan Thigpen, Corey, Harleigh and “Charlie” Pittman and many nieces and nephews. She came to Slidell and taught two years at Slidell High and two years at the old Grammar School. She returned to Slidell High as a Home Economics teacher in the 1950’s and retired in 1960 Lois faithfully served her church with her special talents. She helped establish a craft group called the XYZ, and for many years this group held yearly bazaars and were able to furnish much of the kitchen areas of the church. After Katrina, she traveled from Mandeville to continue her crafting as long as her health allowed. Special thanks to Rev. Patty Hewitt who “jumped the beam” each Monday to allow Lois to continue with her group. Special thanks are extended to Hospice of St. Tammany for their care. She was also gently and lovingly cared for by two special people, Bobbie Johnson and Debra Collins. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Funeral Services at HONAKER FUNERAL HOME, 1751 GAUSE Blvd. WEST (IN FOREST LAWN CEMETERY), Slidell, LA on Thursday, December 13, 2012 at 11:00 A.M. Rev. Wybra Price, officiating, with Rev. Pattie Hewitt, co-officiant. Interment in FOREST LAWN CEMETERY. Visitation on Thursday after 9:00 A.M. until funeral time. Donations to the building fund at 1st United Methodist Church of Slidell or to Hospice of St. Tammany, preferred, in lieu of flowers. ===================
