SONGY, NELL ROSE WEIR 
December 22, 2012

NELL ROSE WEIR SONGY, of Slidell, LA, passed away on Saturday, December 22, 
2012 at Slidell Memorial Hospital.

Beloved wife of the late Harold J. Songy.
Mother of Harold D. Songy, Frederick J. Songy, Gayle O’Brien, Ralph J. Songy, 
Diane Labat (Etienne) and David Songy.
Daughter of the late David Weir and Rosalie Calabresi Weir.
Sister of William Christopher Weir, Shirley Basford and the late Raymond Weir.
Also survived by 13 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren.

Age 86 years; a native of New Orleans, a former resident of St. Bernard and a 
resident of Slidell since 2006. She was a parishioner of St. Margaret Mary 
Catholic Church, Slidell, LA.

Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend a memorial mass at 
St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church, 1050 Robert Blvd., on Saturday, December 29, 
2012 at 11:00am. Visitation will be held at church from 10:00am until 11:00am. 

Interment will follow in Forest Lawn Cemetery.
