STAN, HENRY, JR.
December 23, 2012

HENRY “HANK” STAN, JR., age 72 years, of Covington, LA passed away on Sunday 
December 23, 2012.

Son of and preceded in death by Henry Stan, Sr and Irene Blanchard Stan
Brother of Leila Mary Stan Kader and Raymond Stan (deceased)
Adored Father of Stephanie Stan Cunningham (Tim), “Patate Douce”Katherine Stan 
Frisella (Charles), and Henry Stan, III (Fiona)
Also survived by 10 grandchildren, Kerrie, Conner, Samantha, Gabryael, Simone, 
LaChe’, Dominique, Karly, Nathan, Nicholas, and 8 great grandchildren, Jayce, 
Macie, Paityn, Dreyk, Brycen, Giada, Noah, and Kobi.

A native and longtime resident of New Orleans. He was a member of The Plumbers 
and Steamfitters Local Union 60.

He served in the U.S. Army in the 101st Airborne Division and was a Ranger.
He brought life and laughter to those he touched. He was known as “Paw Paw “to 
many people. Much of his time was spent in the kitchen making dishes that were 
legendary among several generations of family and friends. 
We can truly say of our father that he was “The Recipe” and there will never be 
another like him. We love you Daddy

A gathering will be held on Saturday December 29, 2012 from 1-4pm at the John 
Wesley Center, Aldersgate United Methodist Church, 360 Robert Blvd., Slidell, 
LA 70458.
