He was born in Shreveport, LA on August 12, 1946 to Raquel and George Bersin. Beloved husband of April Bersin. He is survived by his step-mother, Ethel Morris; brother, Edward Bersin of Houston, TX. Loving step-father of April and Nick DiFabrizio of Sun, LA and many nieces and nephews. He was a dedicated and respected manufacturers representative for many years. He was generous and gracious to all leaving good memories of his love of our travel down many adventurous paths with traveling buddies. His loss will be shared and remembered by many loyal friends who supported him on his long and difficult journey. He was a compassionate and generous humanitarian, honorary member of many animal charities known for the love of his dogs. “Saul had the ability to view life and the events in life with a unique rational perspective, always followed with “Saul” humor…with a contagious laugh that you couldn’t help but laugh along. Saul was often labeled as antisocial. I remember Mom using “Saul” as an adjective. If I don’t want to attend a social event, I was pulling a “Saul”. The fact is Saul was simply unpretentious. Crowds were just not his thing. One on one with anyone in the room, and he was engaging. All together, not interested. Oddly, this may be one of Saul’s characteristics that I found interesting. Maybe Mom was right. I’m not sure if we will be gathering to remember Saul, so I wanted to share a few thoughts. Ron” The family would like to offer special thanks Hospice Compasus and Fr. Frank Giroir of St. Anselm Catholic Church, Madisonville, LA. A celebration of Saul’s life will be held at a later date.
