WILLIAM ‘BILL” JOSEPH BURTCH, age 61, of Slidell, LA on Tuesday, January 15, 
2013.

Beloved Husband of Mercedes Martinez Burtch.
Father of Jennifer Burtch and Michelle Burtch.
Son of Fay Burnett Burtch and the Late Fred ‘Bill’ Burtch.
Brother of Mary Ellen Taylor, Cathy Gardner, Becky Woods, John Burtch and 
Margaret Burtch.
Also survived by grandchildren, Patrick William Brunell and Mia Grace Burtch-
Mince and numerous nieces and nephews.

A native of Sioux Falls, S.D. and a longtime resident of Slidell.
He served in the U.S. Air Force as a 1st Lieutenant
He was a Contract Manager at Lockheed Martin and retired after 30 years.
He was a member of St. Luke Knights of Columbus Council #9973, the Ancient 
Order of Hibernians, a Eucharistic Minister and involved in the Catholic 
Committee in Scouting for the Archdiocese of New Orleans.
He was very active in many charities, coordinating and performing many 
volunteer projects in the community.

Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Funeral Mass at 
St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church, 1050 Robert Blvd, Slidell, LA
on Friday, January 18, 2013 at 11:00 A.M.

Interment in Biloxi National Cemetery.

Visitation at the church on Friday after 10:00 A.M. until funeral time.
Donations in memory of William J. Burtch, may be made to the Cancer Association 
of Greater New Orleans, 824 Elmwood Park Boulevard, Room 240,New Orleans, LA 
70123-3342 (www.cagno.org), preferred, in lieu of flowers.
