John Cotter passed away on January 21, 2013 at his home in Lacombe, LA at 60 
years of age. 

A native of Pascagoula, MS and lived in Lacombe for the past 7 years. John 
attended Woodstock in the sixties which had a profound influence on his life. 
He graduated from Ole Miss with a degree in Liberal Arts and also a Law Degree 
from Miss College of Law. John was a big personality and a leader in his field 
of law, practicing along the Gulf Coast specializing in casinos. John will be 
remembered for his avid love of dogs. 

He is survived by his companion "Boots." John Cotter like a father for over 20 
years to Jeremy Cagle and a great friend of KC Cagle and Myrna Cagle Son of the 
late John and Hazel Cotter of Pascagoula, MS He is survived by his cousins, 
Joe, Bill and Diane Cotter; Robert, Ellen and Karen Kold; Tom, Bob and Cathy 
Cotter and Richard Burton.

John's close friends all gathered to celebrate his life on Saturday, February 
2, 2013 at Serenity Funeral Home, Covington, LA at 12:30pm.
