David “Dave” R. Hoffman passed away at his home surrounded by his family on 
Sunday, January 20, 2013.

Beloved husband of 46 years to Judy F. Hoffman; loving father of Jeff Hoffman, 
David Hoffman (Debbie), and the late Lori Hoffman VanMatre; grandfather of 
Ashley Hoffman, Paige VanMatre, Bryce VanMatre and the late Taylor Hoffman; 
father-in-law of Ricky VanMatre; son of Mary Fleming Hoffman and the late David 
George Hoffman; brother of Paul Hoffman (Lisa); uncle to Chris Hoffman and Mia 
Bywalski; son-in-law to the late Arthur and Ellen Fletcher; and brother-in-law 
to Bill Heckel and the late Ethel Heckel.

Age 69 years, a native of McKeesport, PA, and a resident Slidell/Abita Springs, 
LA for the past 30 years. An avid golfer, Dave retired from 
PriceWaterhouseCoopers in 2003 where he was a partner in the tax practice.

Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend a Memorial Gathering 
in Memory of Dave at E.J. Fielding Funeral Home Inc., 2260 W. 21st. Ave., 
Covington, LA 70433 on Wednesday, January 23, 2013 from 6:00 to 9:00 PM.

A Memorial Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Jane de Chantel Catholic 
Church, 72040 Maple Street, Abita Springs, LA 70420 on Thursday, January 24, 
2013 at 11:00 AM.

In lieu of flowers, the family would prefer donations to SMH Foundation, 1001 
Gause Blvd, Slidell, LA 70458, where the funds will be used to support the St. 
Tammany Cancer Fund Appearance Center at SMH Regional Cancer Center which is 
named in honor of Dave’s daughter, Lori.
