Dexter decided to go into the ministry in 1976 so he moved his family to Keene, Texas where he began ministerial school. After 4 years of college, work and raising 6 kids he graduated as an honor roll student with a bachelor’s degree in theology in 1982. Dexter went on to preach for the Lord in various locations and had a special love for evangelism. Dexter was blessed to get a pastoral calling in 1996 to preach back home in south Louisiana where he was born and raised. He has been a pastor of 3 Seventh Day Adventist churches in this area (Slidell, Mandeville and Hammond) for the past 16 years. Dexter was greatly loved and will be greatly missed by his family, friends, and those souls whom he helped win for the Lord. Dexter was preceded in death by his parents Leopold Leblanc, Julia Beeland and Pope Beeland as well as his sister Collette. Dexter was survived by his wife of 40 years, Carmen Le Blanc: his sons and their wives Anthony & Suzanne, Dexter & Heidrun, Vincent & Marcella, Troy, Tom Paul and Renee; his daughter and her husband Shandell & Steve; his grandchildren Keith, Ashley, Hunter, Payten, Michael, Kaylie, Stance, Halee, Chris, Timothy, Tessa, Julia, Tyler, Kristen, Olivia, Braden, Samuel, Mason, Shelby, Sidney and Savannah; His brothers Keith, Jay, Britton and his sisters Paulette, Colleen, Belinda and Hope. Funeral services will be held at Slidell Seventh Day Adventist Church, 2448 Gause Blvd West, in Slidell, Louisiana on Friday Jan. 11 2013. Visitation is from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm at the Church.
